In this photo of part of the University of Aberdeen, three distinct phases of building can be seen. On the right hand side of the picture is part of the King's College Chapel which was built in 1498. The tower in the centre is the Cromwell Tower which dates from the 1650's (and is still used for its original purpose as an observatory), and the arched walkway forms part of the Elphinstone Hall, built in 1930.
