Aurora #89

October 13, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

Taken near Laukvika in the Lofoten Islands, Norway.  Late September is a great time of year to see the Northern Lights at these latitudes.  For some reason that scientists don't fully understand, there is often more geomagnetic activity around the equinoxes.  Night photography is more comfortable too, because temperatures are mild and there is no ice on the roads.
